Areas of Practice
Mtre Marchand graduated from the University of Sherbrooke in 2008 with a Bachelor of Law and a graduate diploma in molecular biology and law. Since the beginning of her practice, she has specialized in civil litigation, more specifically in the areas of insurance, civil liability, and municipal liability. She represents both the insurers and their insureds.
Over the years, her involvement with various domestic and foreign insurers has allowed her to acquire a solid knowledge of the property and casualty insurance field.
In her practice, Mtre Marchand has appeared before most civil courts and certain administrative tribunals, both in demand and defence litigations. She has a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution processes and has participated in numerous settlement conferences to achieve negotiated and pragmatic solutions in her cases.
Professional Activities
Mtre Marchand practiced in a private law firm for 14 years as an associate and then as a partner. In this capacity, she acted as a Bar mentor and then as the coordinator of the firm’s civil litigation/insurance law department.
Before joining Casavant Bédard, she worked as a coordinating lawyer of the litigation and recovery department of an insurance company.
As part of her professional experience in private practice and in-house counselling, Mtre Marchand has given several customized conferences for her clients.

Mtre Marchand has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2009.
She is a certified instructor for the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages (CHAD).
She is a member of the Association des femmes d’assurance de Montréal (AFAM).
